1. India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 122 Crore landmark milestone. More than 122 crore 34 lakh vaccine doses have been administered so far.

2. The Union Govt has said that more than 135 crore 94 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been provided to States and Union Territories (UTs) so far. Health Ministry today said that over 22 crore 83 lakh unutilized vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.

The Winter Session of Parliament is set to begin on a stormy note on Monday, with the government ready to bring in a bill to repeal the three contentious farm laws The Farm Laws Repeal Bill is slated to be introduced in the Lok Sabha. 11. Seventeen people died in a road accident at Fulbari under Hanskhali P.S. in Nadia. The car carrying a dead body from Bagdah, North 24 Parganas to Nabadwip for cremation hit a truck that was standing on the road last midnight and got overturned.

22. Indian Army to train officers in negotiation2 techniques: Since May 2020, the Indian Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army have been holding regular talks to resolve the standoff in Eastern Ladakh.

After starting courses in Tibetology for officers posted along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, the Army is now looking to introduce courses in negotiating tactics to better orient them during bilateral military level negotiations. The move comes in the backdrop of series military to military interactions on the ground since the standoff in Eastern Ladakh in May last year.

24. Axis Bank signed an MoU with the Army Insurance Group (AGI) to offer retail mortgage loans to the Indian Army. The bank will offer best-in-class products and services to defence personnel to cater to their home loan requirements.
