1. India’s COVID vaccination coverage has crossed 110.74 crore mark. Out of the total vaccination, more than 74.65 crore vaccine doses have been given as first dose while over 36 crore eight lakh doses have been administered as the second dose.
2. India launched an electric vehicle awareness web portal called “e-Amrit Portal” on November 10, 2021.
3. National Recruitment Agency will be established by March 2022 which will conduct Common Eligibility Test for recruitment.
4. ASSAM : Around 94% to 95% of the eligible population in Assam has been vaccinated with the first dose of vaccine against COVID-19, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Thursday. He added that Assam will cover 100% of people with the first dose by November-end.
5. HIMACHAL : The British-era 110-mw Shanan Hydropower Project at Jogindernagar is in a shambles due to the apathy of the Punjab Government. The 99-year-old lease of the project will expire in 2024 after which it will be handed over to the Himachal Government.
6. MAHARASHTRA: BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis’ wife Amruta Fadnavis on Thursday sent a legal notice to Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik, seeking apology for trying to link her with an alleged drug peddler by tweeting certain pictures.
7. PUNJAB : Former Punjab MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira was on Thursday arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection to a money laundering case being probed against him and others. ED alleged Khaira is an associate of drug case convicts and fake passport racketeers.
8. Punjab Assembly unanimously passes resolution rejecting Centre’s order on BSF jurisdiction on Second day of the 2-day special session of the Punjab Assembly on 11 Nov. The resolution rejecting the Ministry of Home Affairs’ order on increasing jurisdiction of the BSF.
9. TELANGANA : Bhadrachalam in Telangana has been added as a destination in the IRCTC’s Ramayana Circuit train. Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G. Kishan Reddy has expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inclusion of Bhadarchalam as one of the destinations in the Ramayana Circuit of the Pilgrim Special Train.
10. Uttar Pradesh : The idol of Goddess Annapurna which was retrieved from Canada today handed over to the UP government for installation and Pranaprathista at Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi.
11. PM Modi will launch two innovative customer-centric initiatives of the Reserve Bank of India today at 11 AM through video conferencing. These initiatives are:-
(a) The RBI Retail Direct Scheme.
(b) The Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das will also attend the event.
12. The RBI Retail Direct Scheme is aimed at enhancing access to the government securities market for retail investors. It offers them a new avenue for directly investing in securities issued by the Government of India and the State Governments. Investors will be able to easily open and maintain their government securities account online with the RBI, free of cost.
13. The Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme aims to further improve the grievance redress mechanism for resolving customer complaints against entities regulated by RBI.
14. Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Shaktikanta Das raised alarm on cryptocurrencies and cautioned investors on potential pitfalls of digital currency. Highlights From a macro economic and financial stability point of view, cryptocurrencies are of serious concern. Governor’s comment has come at a time when craze of cryptocurrencies has increased among Indian investors.
15. Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved several measures to support farmers of cotton, sugar cane and jute. CCEA has increased the price of ethanol extracted from sugar cane juice to blend it with petrol. Ethanol blending with petrol is expected to reach 10% by 2022 and 20% by 2025. CCEA has also increased the rate.
16. The Union Government expects to auction 5G spectrum by April or May next year, the Communications, IT and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said.
17. The two Diwali releases — Annaatthe and Sooryavanshi are minting money at the box office. While Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe has entered Rs 200 crore club, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi is also going strong at the ticket counters with Rs 113 cr.

Bollywood Filmmaker Boney Kapoor on Thursday took to Twitter to share pictures of being handed the UAE Golden Visa, writing, “Thank you to Dubai Government for granting me and my [four] children Golden Visa on my Birthday.” The visa will stay valid for 10 years and will allow them to work and live in the country without a national sponsor.
19. SN Pradhan Appointed As NCB Chief : Odisha-born senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Satya Narayan Pradhan has been appointed as Director General (DG) of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). he was posted as NDRF DG prior to his deputation to the NCB.
20. The Indian Air Force (IAF) contingent will take part in the biennial Dubai Air Show to be held at the Al Maktoum International Airport from 14th to 18th of November. The IAF has been invited by the Government of UAE to participate with the Sarang and Suryakiran Aerobatic Teams.
