Singer, songwriter, composer, performer for live and virtual events, music producer and educator Hitesh Rikki Madan recently released his new song Aao Naa, marking the debut of his sons, Ariv and Advay. The love song has a minimalistic arrangement driven by acoustic guitars, featuring three distinct voices and the chemistry of a father and sons trio. The sound is sweet and mellow, the lyrics simple and sing-along, making it instantly loveable. The melody stays in your head and you find yourself humming it subliminally. Hitesh has performed on it and arranged it to capture the beauty that surrounded him and the emotions running high when he got locked down in his mountain home, Keanna Village Home, during the second wave of the pandemic.

On October 29, Hitesh hosted a launch concert and the father-sons trio took to stage belting out Hitesh’s original releases including the multi award winning single Gal Sunn Zara, Break Ke Baad and Aao Naa along with a mix of popular Bollywood and rock ‘n’ roll numbers. The high-energy performance saw Hitesh’s masterly guitar playing-singing, Ariv exhibiting proficiency with his silken voice and tight bass playing and the youngest Advay wowing the audience with his drumming and raspy voice. Some esteemed musicians including Subir Malik and Saurabh Chaudhary (Parikrama), Christopher Powell (ex-Euphoria, Bandish), Pragnya Wakhloo, Ankur Sabharwal and Ritesh Khokhar joined them to end the evening on a high note, leaving an audience screaming for more. The event, supported by guitar giant Gibson, also celebrated the welcoming of Hitesh Rikki Madan to the Gibson family as their official endorsee.

Hitesh says, “This song is close to my heart because both my kids have sung and played on it. Ariv is 13 years old and has played the bass, Advay who is 12 years old has played percussion. Aao Naa is their favourite song and I’m happy they could be a part of it.” He adds, “I don’t know what lies ahead for my children, but if they do pursue music, I hope this platform motivates them to work really hard and make a mark for themselves.”

The song’s music has been composed, arranged, mixed and produced by Hitesh with lyrics by Hitesh and Manish Dhawan, vocals and bass guitar by Ariv Madan, vocals and percussions (Cajon, Drum Practice Pad, Shaker) by Advay Madan. The video has been directed by Vishesh Verma.
