1. India Raises Concern Over Attacks on Minorities in Bangladesh: The government said that it has taken serious note of several reports of incidents of violence against Hindus and other minorities regarding attacks on their homes and business establishments, temples, and religious places across Bangladesh.
2. India Partners with France to Establish Yuga Yugeen Bharat National Museum as Global Cultural Landmark
India has partnered with France Museums Développement to establish Yuga Yugeen Bharat National Museum as a global cultural landmark. This ambitious project is an integral part of the Central Vista Redevelopment Project and is set to span approximately one lakh 55 thousand square meters across the iconic North and South Blocks in New Delhi.
3. Twenty-eight Indian fishermen from Tamil Nadu’s Tirunelveli district have returned home following successful diplomatic efforts that led to their early release from detention in Bahrain. The fishermen, who were arrested in September 2024 for allegedly entering Bahraini territorial waters illegally, had their six-month sentence reduced to three months following a swift legal appeal.
4. 26 countries in the world provide visa-free entry and 40 countries provide visa-on-arrival facilities to Indian passport holders. In a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh informed that India provides visa-free entry to citizens of Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives.
5. Indian educationist Arun Kapur has been conferred the rare ‘Dasho’ title and Red Scarf by Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel at the 117th National Day celebrations. This honor, typically given to senior Bhutanese officials acknowledges Kapur’s significant contributions to education in India, Bhutan.
6. Sri Lanka has introduced a new visa policy effective from January 2025, granting free visa travel to citizens from 39 countries, including India. This announcement was made by Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath.

1. Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he is ready to compromise over Ukraine in possible talks with US President-elect Donald Trump to end the war.
2. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels. Both leaders discussed Ukraine’s EU accession process, the priorities of the newly formed European Commission, and the use of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine.
3. Saudi Arabia, whose economy is based around its vast reserves of oil and natural gas, has found another source to diversify its oil-rich economy as the kingdom recently found lithium reserves in its oil fields near the sea.

4. The death toll from the boat capsize tragedy off the coast of Greece reached 40 after rescue efforts by Greek authorities to find survivors ended. The Pakistani citizens were being illegally transferred to Europe via Libya by a human trafficking racket. The incident took place on Saturday.

8. Bangladesh, the High Court has acquitted former state minister for home affairs Lutfozzaman Babar and five others, who were sentenced to death, in the 10-truck arms haul case in Chattogram. The court also commuted the death sentence of six convicts to 10 years’ imprisonment in the case.
