1. Shri Ram temple project in Ayodhya bagged the ‘Sword of Honour’ award from the British Safety Council, said Nripendra Misra, chairman of the Construction Committee of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, on Sunday.

2. India and Sri Lanka exchanged protocol amending agreements between the two countries for avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes in income. Both sides also exchanged MoU on training and capacity building of civil servants of Sri Lanka.

Grant assistance of 14.9 million dollars for the signalling project in the Maho-Anuradhapura section was announced on the occasion. A financial assistance scheme to 100 new students each annually from the University of Jaffna and Eastern University until the end of academic courses of the beneficiaries was also announced.

3. Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake assures Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to let the country’s territory be used for anti-India activities.

4. 11 Indians found dead at Georgia’s mountain resort restaurant: The Embassy of India in Tbilisi, Georgia, has extended condolences over the demise of eleven Indian nationals in Gudauri, Georgia. The embassy said that it is working closely with local authorities to facilitate the prompt repatriation of the mortal remains to India. Indian nationals died due to carbon monoxide poisoning at a restaurant in Georgia’s Gudauri.

5. India, Sri Lanka, and the UAE have announced a significant collaboration to implement a multi-product pipeline aimed at supplying affordable and reliable energy from India to Sri Lanka. This initiative was highlighted during a joint press conference between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

6. India Refuses To Sell Arms To Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan has expressed interest in acquiring weapons from India to counterbalance Armenia’s military enhancements, particularly following significant arms purchases by Armenia from India. This request was conveyed through a third country, but India has reportedly ignored it, emphasizing that it will independently determine its bilateral relations without intermediaries.

1. Bangladesh’s national elections could be held between late 2025 and early 2026, depending on the extent of reforms implemented. If minimal reforms are undertaken to ensure an accurate voter list, elections could be possible by late 2025.

2. Rabindra Ghosh, a prominent Bangladeshi lawyer, on Monday claimed that he has been receiving death threats since he has decided to represent jailed Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das but vowed that he would continue his fight for justice and minority rights.

3. United Kingdom officially became the first European nation to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). This significant move, a result of the UK’s post-Brexit strategy, aims to boost the country’s economy by providing new business opportunities and trade benefits across the Indo-Pacific region.

4. The U.S. military has successfully tested its Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW), known as “Dark Eagle,” bringing it closer to being used in modern warfare. The test, held at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, proved that the missile can travel faster than 3,800 miles per hour (Mach 5).
