Delhi: Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met families of victims of violence in Delhi after they were denied permission to visit Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi are well known for their outreach during crises; they also offered condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of support.

Both the congress leaders had a planned visit to Sambhal, intending to meet victims of another case of violence. Local authorities are reported to have denied entry on grounds of security issues.
