1. On 26 November 2024, the US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, paid tribute to the martyrs of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. This event marked the 16th anniversary of the tragic attacks that resulted in the deaths of 166 people, including security personnel and foreign nationals, and left over 300 injured.

2. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar participated in the Rome Mediterranean Dialogue, where he engaged with his counterparts from France, Ukraine, Lebanon, and Croatia. This meeting took place on November 25, 2024, and was significant for discussing various bilateral and regional issues.Jaishankar and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian reviewed their countries’ partnership and discussed broader topics.

1. A significant fire erupted at the Tanegashima Space Centre in southwestern Japan during a test of the Epsilon S rocket on November 26, 2024. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries related to this incident. The fire broke out shortly after ignition, leading to an explosion and plumes of white smoke.

2. A Bangladeshi court has denied bail to Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, a prominent Hindu leader, leading to widespread protests from the Hindu community. The court’s decision came on 26 November 2024, after Das was arrested on sedition charges related to allegations of disrespecting the national flag during a Hindu rally on 25 October in Chattogram.

3. Israel today launched airstrikes on buildings in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and issued new evacuation warnings ahead of an expected vote on a ceasefire deal with Lebanon. While Israel hit central Beirut, it issued evacuation orders for 20 buildings in the southern suburbs of the city.
