1. In China Masters Badminton 2024 in Shenzhen : Indian men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty failed to make the China Masters final after falling to South Korea’s Jin Yong and Seo Seung Jae 18-21, 21-14, 16-21 in Shenzhen on Saturday.

India lead by 218 runs
India ended day two of the first Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Perth in a commanding position, reaching 172 without loss in their second innings.

3. In Wrestling , India have clinched a total of seven medals including three Gold, one Silver and three Bronze at the World Military Championships in Yerevan, Armenia.
(a) Gold medal winners are India’s Reetika Hooda in the women’s 76kg category, Jyoti Sihag in the women’s 55kg category and Jaideep in the Men’s 74 kg Freestyle category.
(b) Subedar Sharwan bagged the silver medal in the men’s 70 kg Free Style.
(c) Bronze category medal holders in the Men’s category include Shubham in the 57 kg Free Style and Chandermohan in the 79 kg Free Style.
While Priyanka bagged the bronze in the 68 Kg Women’s category. India sent a women’s contingent to the World Military Championships for the first time this year.
4. Jay Shah, the ICC president-elect and current chief of the BCCI and ACC, announced a landmark partnership between the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Sony Sports Networks. The deal, which will span from 2024 to 2031, will see all ACC tournaments broadcast exclusively on Sony Sports, marking a significant boost for cricket’s visibility in the region.
