1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Lula Da Silva hold talks on sidelines of G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro; Reaffirm commitment to improve cooperation in various sectors including energy, bio-fuels, defence and agriculture.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlights plight of Global South at G-20 Summit in Brazil; Urges nations to prioritize adverse effects of global conflicts on food, fuel, and fertilizer supplies.

3. Bad news for Indians living in Saudi Arabia: The country has banned the use of religious and national symbols for personal and commercial use.

4. India is participating at IBTM Barcelona 2024, one of the leading global travel exhibitions on MICE ( Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) in Barcelona from today. Union Tourism Ministry said that participation in the exhibition is aimed at promoting India as a potential destination for hosting conferences and conventions. The theme of the three-day event is People, Power and Potential.

5. Palestinian Authority expressed its deep gratitude to India for releasing the second tranche of 2.5 million dollars in financial aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). In a statement, the Palestinian Embassy also lauded India’s commitment to humanitarian assistance.

3. Hezbollah rocket commander killed in airstrike in Lebanon: Israel’s military announced today that it killed Ali Tawfiq Dweiq, the commander of Hezbollah’s medium-range rocket unit, in an airstrike on southern Lebanon.

4. Ecuador has declared a 60-day national emergency to tackle wildfires, water shortages, and drought afflicting the South American country.

5. Russia has vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in 🇸🇩Sudan.
