1. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs will organize a six-day Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Executive Capacity Building Programme from 11 to 16th November in New Delhi.

2. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will undertake a Padayatra alongside MY Bharat Youth Volunteers at Jashpur in Chhattisgarh, on Wednesday, to mark Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.

3. Minister of Power Manohar Lal flagged off the Electric Vehicles Rally in New Delhi. On the occasion, he also launched the ‘EV as a service’ program. In his address, the Minister said that electric vehicles play a significant role to reduce pollution.

4. The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) announced that it is working to make India’s own regional navigation system (NaVIC) which will be accessible to civilians soon. As of now, the accurate positioning system is confined to only strategic use. Pawan Goenka, chairman of space regulator and promoter INSPACe noted that “by 2025, Isro will target to launch a dozen satellites every year, including six GSLV launches.

5. Justice Shri Sanjiv Khanna, who has been part of several landmark Supreme Court judgements such as scrapping the electoral bonds scheme and upholding abrogation of Article 370, will be sworn in as the 51st Chief Justice of India on Monday. President Smt Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath of office at Rashtrapati Bhavan in a ceremony scheduled at 10 am.

6. PM Modi will participate in the 200th-anniversary celebration of the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Vadtal, Gujarat through video conferencing today.

7. PM Modi held a mega roadshow in Ranchi. The roadshow began at OTC Ground with tight security and concluded at New Market Chowk on Ratu Road yesterday.

8. In Maharashtra, Senior BJP leader Amit Shah releases party Manifesto in Mumbai; Maha Vikas Aghadi’s alliance manifesto also released by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

9. In West Bengal, by-election will be held on Wednesday for six assembly constituencies, Sitai, Madarihat, Naihati, Haroa, Medinipur, and Taldangra. The Election Commission is taking comprehensive measures to ensure a free and fair election across these constituencies.

10. Maha Vikas Aghadi on Sunday released its manifesto for the Maharashtra assembly polls, promising free cervical cancer vaccines for girls aged 9 to 16 and and two optional leave days for women employees during menstruation.

11. Harsha Vardhan Agarwal to Take Over as FICCI President from 21 Nov. The FICCI National Executive Committee Meeting (NECM) has officially announced Harsha Vardhan Agarwal as the President-Elect of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

12. Mahendra Singh Mewar, member of the Mewar royal family and a former Member of Parliament from Chittorgarh died at the age of 83 on late Sunday night. Mewar passes away at Ananta Medical College in Rajasthan’s Udaipur, where he had been undergoing treatment due to a continuous deterioration in his health.

1. Spiritual leader Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya stated that he will not visit any Krishna temple until the decision on Mathura’s Krishna Janmabhoomi comes in favour.

The dispute revolves around the location of the Shahi Idgah Mosque in Mathura, which was reportedly built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb after demolishing a temple at the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Earlier on October 23, the Allahabad High Court dismissed a plea by the Shahi Idgah Mosque committee to recall its 11 January 2024 order.

2. Armed men from the hills launched a series of gun-and-bomb attacks in parts of Lamlai assembly constituency in Manipur’s Imphal East district on Sunday. Security forces – Army, BSF and police – retaliated, resulting in a fierce exchange of fire at Sanasabi, Sabungkhok Khunou, and Thamnapokpi.

3. Mumbai Police and Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) on Sunday arrested wanted shooter Shivkumar in Nationalist Congress Party politician Baba Siddique murder case from Uttar Pradesh.

Former Maharashtra minister Siddique, 66, was shot dead on October 12 by three assailants outside his son MLA Zeeshan Siddique’s office building in Bandra East, Mumbai.

Five members of a family were killed when their Maruti Suzuki WagonR car crashed into a stationary truck on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway near the Noida Sector 146 Metro station at 6am on Sunday. Police suspect that the WagonR’s driver may have dozed off behind the wheel and rammed into the truck, whose driver had parked it in on the road due to a tyre puncture.

1. The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 has announced the launch of IFFIESTA, a vibrant entertainment extravaganza designed to bring communities together through the magic of films, food, art, and interactive experiences. IFFIESTA will be hosted at the Kala Academy, located on the picturesque waterfront of Panjim, Goa, from 21st to 28th November.

2. Noted Tamil actor ‘Delhi’ Ganesh, who essayed a spectacular variety of memorable roles in over 400 films, passed away late Saturday night at his residence. The actor was 80 years old. His funeral will be held today (Monday, November 11).

PM Modi, in a message on X, stated he was “deeply saddened by the passing of the illustrious film personality, Thiru Delhi Ganesh Ji.”

3. Pandit Ram Narayan, the iconic Sarangi maestro, passed away in Mumbai yesterday at the age of 96. Shri Narayan, a distinguished Hindustani musician was honoured with several prestigious awards, including the Padma Vibhushan and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.

1. Indian Navy’s submarine INS Vela, arrived in Colombo on a three-day visit. The submarine was accorded a ceremonial welcome by the Sri Lanka Navy. Several team-building exercises are planned between the crew of the submarine and Sri Lankan navy personnel during the visit.

INS Vela, an indigenous Kalvari-class diesel-electric submarine, was commissioned into the Indian Navy in November 2021.

2. In Kashmir, two anti terrorist operations underway at Zabarwan forest area in Srinagar and Sopore in Baramulla district.

In Jammu and Kashmir, a Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army’s special forces, identified as Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar of 2 Para (SF) laid down his life while three soldiers were critically injured in a gunfight with terrorists in a remote forest area of Kishtwar district. He was a part of joint operation launched in general area of Bhart Ridge in Kishtwar on Saturday.

3. On 09 Nov 24 after a challenging 39-day voyage at sea, Indian Naval Sailing Vessel Tarini, which is undertaking a global circumnavigation expedition christened Navika Sagar Parikrama II, arrived at its first port of call in Fremantle, Australia. The historic expedition was flagged off from Goa by Adm Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff on 02 Oct.

4. India is preparing to test a new long-range anti-ship ballistic missile that boasts a strike range of over 1,000 kilometers. This missile is being developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and is expected to be tested in the coming days.The missile is designed to target moving naval vessels, including warships and aircraft carriers.

5. The Indian Air Force (IAF) is actively pursuing a plan to acquire 400 additional fighter jets by 2030 as part of its strategy to address capability gaps and enhance its operational readiness against potential threats from neighbouring countries, particularly China and Pakistan.

6. Russia’s United Engine Corporation (UEC) is set to unveil the enhanced AL-31FN Series 5 engine at the upcoming Zhuhai Air Show 2024 in China, marking its first international appearance. This engine is part of a broader showcase that includes various advancements in propulsion technology, including a fifth-generation engine for combat aircraft, reported.
