1. Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will visit India from 6th to 10th October following an invitation from President Droupadi Murmu.

2. The External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has said, India will not engage in discussions with Pakistan regarding its relations at the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit in Islamabad.

3. India has renewed its urgent call for adopting an international treaty against terrorism, one it first proposed nearly 30 years ago. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly’s legal committee on Thursday, R. Mythili, a legal officer with India’s UN Mission, expressed deep concern over the growing strength of terrorist groups, which are now harnessing cutting-edge technologies like drones to enhance their capabilities.

1. The situation continues to escalate amid rising hostilities in West Asia. An Israeli strike targeted the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli.

2. Emirates Airlines has implemented a ban on pagers and walkie-talkies for all passengers travelling to, from, or via Dubai. The decision comes in the wake of last month’s attacks on Hezbollah, which reportedly involved explosive communication devices.

3. An outbreak of cholera has killed at least 359 people in 33 Nigerian states between January and September this year. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) confirmed.

4. American and British military forces have launched coordinated strikes on more than a dozen Houthi-controlled sites in Yemen. The strikes were carried out by military aircraft and naval ships, hitting Houthi strongholds across five key areas.

5. In 🇵🇰Pakistan, the government of Pakistan has decided to hand over the security of the capital, Islamabad, to the Pakistan Army amid the fast-changing security situation with violent protests, clashes, arrests, cellular services, and internet blockades. Islamabad and its twin city Rawalpindi have become battlefields between supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the security forces.
