2. In Shooting, India added 5 more Gold medals to its tally on Day four of the ISSF Junior World Championship in Lima, Peru. Devanshi bagged a Gold in the women’s 25m pistol. She defeated Italy’s Cristina Magnani by two points in the final with a score of 35.
Ace Shooter Mukesh Nelavalli emerged as another star for India, securing two more gold medals in junior men’s 25m Pistol, bringing his total to three in the championship so far.
3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written to Olympic Medalist, Neeraj Chopra’s Mother Saroj Devi thanking her for sending ‘Churma’ which the Athlete offered him.
In Haryana, churma is made by mashing up roti in ghee and jaggery. It is usually served either with a tall glass of warm milk, lassi, or with sour kadhi.
4. Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) and the International Kho Kho Federation have announced that the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup will take place in India in 2025. The event will witness the participation of 24 countries from 6 continents and will feature 16 men’s and as many as women’s teams.
5. Indian cricket team star batter Virat Kohli gifted a signed bat to Shakib Al Hasan at the end of the second Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur on Tuesday. It was the final Test match for Shakib in India as he announced his retirement.
6. Virat Kohli completed 27000 international runs and became the fastest cricketer to reach that milestone and broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar who earlier held the record. Virat achieved this feat against Bangladesh in the 2nd test match in Kanpur.
