1. The President Smt. Droupadi Murmu will visit Hyderabad on Saturday to participate in the 21st convocation of Nalsar University and inaugurate the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav at Rashtrapati Nilayam.

9. Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav announced the theme of 9th Ayurveda Day as “Ayurveda innovation for Global Health”. This year, Ayurveda Day will be celebrated on 29th October.

10. Over 67 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts – ABHA have been created in the past three years under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The digital healthcare mission marks its three year anniversary on Friday.

11. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on one-day visit to Hazaribagh, Jharkhand on 2nd of October. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the PM Modi will address concluding ceremony of Parivartan Yatra.

12. Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar will inaugurate the 20th Divya Kala Mela in Pune on Saturday. This mela stands as a unique celebration of the craftsmanship, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of Divyang artisans, artists, and entrepreneurs from across India.

13. The Government released the revised operational guidelines and training manual for all medical officers on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in New Delhi.

The Telangana state government has initiated steps to mobilise Rs 9,000 crore to waive crop loans of farmers who were not covered in the first three phases of the scheme between July 18 and August 15. Official sources said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the finance department to arrange funds by Dasara, aiming to deliver this relief to farmers as a festival gift by mid-October.

15. The Andhra Pradesh forest department signed an MoU with Karnataka on Friday for mutual cooperation and to address various challenges concerning wildlife in forest areas. One of the main aims of AP is to check the growing wild elephant menace in its districts bordering Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Orissa.

Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy cancelled his visit to the Tirumala Tirupati Lord Venkateshwara Temple, after police issued notices to him and members of his party amid controversy over alleged usage of animal fat during preparation of Laddus being offered as “Prasadam”.

At the heart of the controversy is the allegation that the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was responsible for the adulteration of ghee, used in the preparation of laddus and other prasadams, with substances such as beef fat and fish oil.

17. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the people of the country and abroad in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on Akashvani at 11 AM on Sunday. It will be the 114th episode of the monthly radio programme.

1. The Central Government, through the Ministry of Law and Justice, notified the appointment of Chief Justices to eight High Courts to fill key judicial positions and ensure the smooth functioning of the judicial system in various states. Union Law Minister (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the appointment of Chief Justices to eight High Courts.

2. Telangana transport department is going to hand out stringent punishments for the negligent and rash drivers. They will be using the provisions of the Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Act, 2019, which give power to the transport department or other authorities concerned to cancel licences of negligent drivers.

Transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar said, about 1.6 lakh people die every year in India due to road accidents. In Telangana, about 20 people die every day in the road accidents.

3. Lokayukta police on Friday registered a first information report against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and others in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment case, following the court order.

4. The Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested six terrorist associates in Awantipora, having links with Pakistan-based terror outfits and recovered a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives along with other incriminating materials from their possession.

5. Adult star Riya Barde has been arrested by the Maharashtra Police on charges of illegally staying in India. According to the charges against the porn star, she is a resident of Bangladesh and had been staying in India with her family based on forged documents.

1. The Government has said that India is set to achieve 6.5 to 7 percent Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in the current financial year. The Finance Ministry said in its Monthly Economic Review for August.
