11. The Department of Food and Public Distribution and the Food Corporation of India (FCI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the efficiency and accountability of food grain procurement and distribution.

13. Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H. D. Kumaraswamy has said that the recently approved Prime Minister eBus Sewa-Payment Security Mechanism (PSM) scheme will support the deployment of more than 38,000 electric buses (e-Buses) from the financial year 2024-25 to the financial year 2028-29.

14. All eligible senior citizens aged 70 years or above covered under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PMJAY) will be issued a new, distinct card under the scheme. The scheme is expected to be operational within a week.

1. Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal has been released from Tihar Jail yesterday evening. The Supreme Court granted him bail in the Delhi excise policy case.

2. The National Investigation Agency today conducted searches at several locations in Punjab in connection with its probe into the attack on the Indian High Commission in Canada alleged by pro-Khalistan supporters. The searches were conducted in Moga, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Jalandhar. Last year, the agency had registered a case over protest by pro-Khalistani supporters outside the Indian mission in Ottawa.

3. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting searches at various places in West Bengal yesterday in connection with food supply and distribution corruption case.

4. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued show-cause notices to 27 schools in Rajasthan and Delhi for violating its by-laws. The CBSE said in a release that it had conducted surprise inspections at these schools and found several violations in their functioning, particularly concerning their enrollment and attendance practices.

5. Kashmir Muslim bodies’ the Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU), has written a detailed letter to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) and opposed the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. 1. The government has scrapped the minimum price threshold for onion exports. In a notification, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade said that the Minimum Export Price condition on onions has been removed with immediate effect.

Actress Hema alias Krishnaveni was arrested for her involvement in the drug partyparty. The police have now submitted a detailed chargesheet on the incident. She was arrested for her involvement in the drug party that was held at a farmhouse near Electronics City on May 15 in Bengaluru.

The police had recovered MDMA pills, hydro cannabis, cocaine, hydro ganja, and several electronic items from the site of the rave party during its raid. Actress Hema, among those present at the drug party, was subsequently arrested and charged with consumption of illicit drugs under Section 27(b) of the NDPS Act.

1. The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded Defence Research and Development Organisation, DRDO, the Indian Navy and all stakeholders for the successful flight tests of the Vertical Launch Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile, (vlsrsa) done on 12 Sep.

2. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 7th National Security Strategies Conference 2024 in New Delhi.

3. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the India Defence Aviation Exposition (IDAX-24) at Jodhpur on September 12, 2024. This major event coincides with Exercise Tarang Shakti-24, one of the largest multinational air exercises hosted by the Indian Air Force. The IDAX-24, running from September 12-14, showcases significant advancements and contributions of the Indian aviation industry.

4. Indian Army, in collaboration with Assam Police, apprehended an NSCM(IM) cadre in Tinsukia district, recovering pistols, grenades, and ammunition.
