1. PM Modi has reiterated India’s firm commitment to support an early, abiding and peaceful resolution of 🇷🇺Russia -🇺🇦Ukraine conflict. In a telephonic conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, both leaders exchanged perspectives on the issue.

2. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar co-chaired the 9th India- 🇧🇷Brazil Joint Commission with his Brazilian counterpart Mauro Vieira in New Delhi. During the meeting, both sides took stock of bilateral ties, including cooperation in trade, defence, energy, health, agriculture, space, and technology.

3. 🇮🇳India & 🇨🇱Chile Strengthen Agricultural Ties in High-Level Meeting : Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ramnath Thakur met Chile’s Agriculture Minister Esteban Valenzuela and his delegation for a high-level bilateral meeting in New Delhi.

Chilean Foreign Minister Alberto van Klaveren will on a two-day visit as India.

4. A high-level delegation from India, the Ministry of External Affairs is in 🇲🇻Maldives to review the progress of Development Cooperation projects in the archipelago. The delegation led by Special Secretary and Financial Adviser Anurag Agarwal, productive engagements with Maldivian Ministers and senior officials of the Government.

5. The 24th International Mother Teresa Awards Ceremony held at the Millennium Plaza Dubai 🇦🇪 on 26 Aug, commemorating the 114th birth anniversary of the revered humanitarian.

This prestigious event, organized by the All-India Minority and Weaker Sections Council, was held outside India for only the second time, with both international ceremonies having taken place in Dubai. The awards, established after Mother Teresa’s passing in 1997.

1. 🇧🇷Brazil holds the G20 Presidency, and the G20 summit will take place from November 18th to 19th this year in Rio de Janeiro.

2. 🇺🇸Former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard has announced her support for Republican nominee Donald Trump in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

3. Sri Lanka🇱🇰, the National People’s Power (NPP) led by Anura Kumara Dissanayaka has released its Election Manifesto. The election will be held on the 21st of September to elect the ninth executive President.

4. In 🇵🇰Pakistan, more than 70 people have been killed in at least four assault cases amid several reported incidents of violence in Balochistan province. According to reports, 14 soldiers and police personnel, as well as 21 militants, were killed in a major attack targeting vehicles on a major highway in Bela, a town in the Lasbela district.

5. In 🇧🇩Bangladesh, a Dhaka court on Monday sent 388 Ansar personnel to jail in four cases over the clashes between Ansar personnel and students on Sunday night in front of the central secretariat in Dhaka for laying siege and ransacking the secretariat and launching an attack on students.

6. 🇫🇷French President Emmanuel Macron has said that Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov’s arrest in Paris was made under an ongoing judicial investigation and was not a political decision. he was arrested on several charges which involved the alleged spread of criminal activity on Telegram.

7. The World Health Organization (WHO) launched a six-month global strategic and response plan to stop the deadly outbreak of Mpox. This plan aims to curtail human-to-human transmission of Mpox through coordinated global, regional, and national efforts.

Starting from September 2024 to February 2025, and envisions 135 million U.S. dollars in funding, the plan includes strategic vaccination efforts for people at the highest risk of interrupting transmission chains.
